Getting Started With Golf

Golf is a simple game. Clubs and a ball. Hit the ball with a club advancing toward a target, the hole. Keep hitting the ball with one of fourteen clubs until it falls into the hole.

After you've finished watching the ball fall into the hole eighteen times you may want to head to the bar at the clubhouse, order your favorite beverage, and boast about your athleticism.

Most people play golf for relaxation and a chance to get out of the house and enjoy the great outdoors. If you are a professional golfer you get paid while enjoying a leisure walk through grassy knolls.

The obstacles in golf are what makes this so called 'game' so emotional. Everyone will experience moments of frustration, reward, victory and loss, but always the overwhelming desire to return as quickly as possible.

Golf is a game you learn but never master and once bitten it is a game you will enjoy for life.
